The Rock Aggregate Image Analyser hardware setup is as follows:

A high performance computer with 3+ GHz processor with multithreading capabilities and 512 MB of internal memory constitutes the platform for RAIA. Up to three Matrox MeteorII grabber cards takes care of the image acquisition together with up to twelve composite CCD cameras. A large serial ATA hard drive of >80 GB assures extensive logging capabilities. All other hardware such as graphics adapter and network card will be the fastest possible.

This setup enables acquisition and analysis from twelve cameras within 5 seconds.

The system can be configured to present more than data. With an external videoplexer it will simultaneously present live images from all available cameras.
