As most of you already know I started to write on a website 2 years ago, that I
felt perhaps could be of use when planning for a fishing trip to northern
Sweden, Lapland. This website has today been online for exactly two years.
During this time I've had close to 28.000 visitors from more than 80 different

Today we lost a friend and co-editor of the "ROFF - fly fishing in the
northern part of Sweden, Lapland" web site.
Hans Berggren past away at the age of 48.
This was one of those guys that I just know you would have liked. You know
the guy who seem to embrace life, the guy that tells a good story, enjoys
friends and fishing as well as beer and a good wine, a guy that likes to take
his time and cook something extra just to be able to enjoy the meal as much as
can be done. This was what Hans Berggren, fly fisherman and friend, was like.
Hans leaves his wife and daughter behind, but also his stepson and long time
fishing buddy Fred.
"But when I am alone in the half light of the canyon all existence
seems to fade to a being with my soul, and memories. And the sounds of the
River, and a four count rhythm, and the hope that a fish will rise.
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river
was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of
time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the
words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters".
